Course Description
Over these six weeks, we will look at "tools" artists employ that enable us to see. We will look closely at color, line, and shape and realize how we are affected emotionally and intellectually by the compositional choices made by artists. We will come to better understand how the message of the artist is made manifest in the work of art.
About Your Presenter: Becky D Reese
Becky served as Director of the El Paso Museum of Art from 1991-2005, providing world-class art experiences and promoting community inclusion. Her achievements resulted in a museum nationally recognized for the strength of its collections, its dynamic public programming, and its impressive new building. Becky was inducted into the El Paso Women’s Hall of Fame and received numerous civic awards and honors. She was a board member for UTEP’s Lifelong Learning Institute and in San Marcos serves as the Associate Director of Lifelong Learning. She served on The Wittliff’s Collections’ Advisory Council from 2017-2024.
